Embedding Color Theme In Word For Mac
Great color themes in Office are not a random collection of swatches. Each spot in a color theme has a job. Once you learn those functions, great color themes will roll out from your office.
Three formatting tools are in the Page Background group of the Ribbon’s Layout tab: Color: Click to display the color palette. Color formats the background layer that’s furthest to the back. Watermark: Above the background layer but still behind the text layer is a layer that you can use if you want to add a watermark. The Theme Colors menu in Powerpoint (which in Word is inexplicably only visible in Publisher view, argh!) has a link fixed at the bottom of the link that says 'Create Theme Colors' but for some reason this link isn't to be found in Word. In Word for Mac 2011, I defined a number of custom color themes in Powerpoint and placed them in the right. Saving the Theme file in Microsoft Word and Excel. Themes can also be saved in Microsoft Word and Excel 2011 for Mac in the same way it is done in PowerPoint. Follow these steps to save the current Theme in Microsoft Word or Excel 2011: Open (or create) a Word document or Excel spreadsheet and apply the Theme that you want to save.
To choose different theme colors, do one of the following: In Word: On the Design tab, click Colors, and then choose a different set of colors. The colors you see on the menu that appears only show 8 of the theme’s colors, as you can see in Figure 4. Depending upon where you installed Microsoft Office, the built-in Themes may be located in one of the subfolders.
I’m always astounded to hear a Office “professional” who says “I don’t use themes.” I’m amazed because in modern versions of Office it’s impossible to not to use themes. If you haven’t set a theme for your template, then you’re using the default Office theme. Whether you like it or not! Themes are an integral part of Office, so you’d better learn how they work.

Answer:Select the text that you'd like to change the font color. Then select the Home tab in the toolbar at the top of the screen. Then click on the arrow to the right of the Font Color button in the Font group. A popup window should appear. Select the color that you'd like your text to be. In this example, we've selected a Red color.
